AC Milan and Roma could go head-to-head for Red Star Belgrade striker Richmond Boakye after scouts saw him score in their Champions League win over Olympiakos.
Representatives from both clubs were in attendance at the Stadion Rajko Mitic for the Group B clash between the Serbian champions and last season’s runners-up in Greece, which finished 3-1 to Red Star.
Hotsport report the scouts were sat alongside the agent of Boakye, who rounded off the scoring on the night by rising above the visitors’ defence to nod home a 90th-minute corner.

The Ghana international scored 13 goals in 18 appearances for Red Star last season, his second spell in Belgrade after an earlier loan stint, and was watched by Southampton.
He began his professional career in Italy at Genoa, who signed him from Ghana after he impressed in a youth tournament.
He speaks fluent Italian and already has Serie A experience from his limited time at Atalanta, but most of his time in Italy was spent in Serie B with Sassuolo and Latina.
Boakye, 26, is valued at £3m by transfermarkt but his club are likely to ask for more than double that amount to let him go in the January window, when he will still have one year left on his contract with the option of a further year.
His agent, Oliver Arthur, spoke after the game about the prospects for both his clients moving in the next transfer window.
He said: “The interest of the clubs exists and it is important that they continue to confirm their qualities continuously. The deadline will be in January and then we will be able to talk about the next steps.”
