Press statement: Sisters Keepers Association Condemns lynching of 90years old woman on suspicion of witchcraft at Kafaba, Savannah region.

An all-female international organization, Sisters Keepers Association has condemn the gruesome murder of an old woman believed to be in her late 90s at Kafaba in the East Gonja Municipality of the Savannah region on suspicion of Witchcraft. The organization their Press statement yesterday, 23rd July,2020 described the action has inhumane and called authorities including Ghana Police Service to quickly conduct investigation into this ferocious practice.

They also urge the general public to learn about post-adulthood conditions so not to fall for prejudice like this one “The Association wishes to bring to the notice of the public that Alzheimers/Dementia is a condition among the elderly therefore the need to have enough knowledge about this disease to inform our relationship with them in these times.”
